Brave New World by Aldous Huxley is a futuristic tale where technology and social control create a seemingly perfect but restrictive society. Humans are genetically engineered and conditioned for specific roles, maintaining stability through emotional suppression. The story follows Bernard Marx, an Alpha-Plus feeling alienation, and John, a "savage" disillusioned with the World State's superficiality. It explores themes of individuality, freedom, and the dangers of sacrificing emotion for efficiency, sparking debate about unchecked technological advancement.
This project centered on the creation of a conceptual and typographic book cover, alongside the strategic alignment of typography within the book's content to captivate the reader's attention. The inspiration for this book cover stems from the concept of color-coded human genetic engineering prevalent in sci-fi futuristic society. These colors serve as a rapid means to identify individuals' societal roles and occupations in control of this engineered perfect world.
